Numerous villas that were built in the early 20th century can be found. Lacanau is a popular destination for wave riders. Every year in August the world bests meet at this spot for the World Surfing Championship: "Lacanau Pro".

You can reach the apartment very well by car from Bordeaux (45 km), that you can park in the front yard of the apartment behind the fence . From Bordeaux airport, you can rent a car. Alternatively you can come to the apartment by bus from Bordeaux: the bus starts from the railway stationof Bordeaux and stops 100 meters from the apartment in Moutchic. From the airport, you can also reach this bus.
